CDC open data
Search the CDC's open-data portal (data.cdc.gov) for the datasets behind US public health statistics: BRFSS prevalence (obesity, smoking, diabetes, health-care access by state and year), NCHS mortality, leading causes of death and life expectancy, NHIS indicators, vaccination coverage, chronic disease indicators, provisional death counts and outbreak surveillance. Each result gives the dataset id, what it measures, its columns by field name, the row endpoint (SoQL filters such as ?$limit=5000&$where=yearstart=2023) and the full-CSV link, all public domain. Use it for any US prevalence, incidence, mortality or survey figure: find the dataset here, then pull the exact rows with run_python (requests + pandas against the row endpoint) and cite the dataset and year. Prefer this over web_search for official US statistics.
