RxClass Get Disease Relations
Get MED-RT drug<->disease relations (may_treat, may_prevent, CI_with, induces, has_PE) from NLM RxClass, in either direction. FORWARD: pass 'drug_name' or 'rxcui' to get the MED-RT disease classes a drug relates to (e.g. drug_name='albuterol', rela='may_treat' -> Asthma D001249, Bronchial Spasm D001986). REVERSE: pass 'class_id' (a MeSH-style disease class ID) to list all ingredient drugs that relate to that disease (e.g. class_id='D001249' (Asthma), rela='may_treat' -> terbutaline, theophyllin…
Overview
Get MED-RT drug<->disease relations (may_treat, may_prevent, CI_with, induces, has_PE) from NLM RxClass, in either direction. FORWARD: pass 'drug_name' or 'rxcui' to get the MED-RT disease classes a drug relates to (e.g. drug_name='albuterol', rela='may_treat' -> Asthma D001249, Bronchial Spasm D001986). REVERSE: pass 'class_id' (a MeSH-style disease class ID) to list all ingredient drugs that relate to that disease (e.g. class_id='D001249' (Asthma), rela='may_treat' -> terbutaline, theophylline, zafirlukast, ... 42 ingredients). Uses relaSource=MEDRT which the standard drug-class tool does not expose. No API key required.
