Overview
Search OpenAlex sources (journals, conferences, repositories) by name or ISSN and return JOURNAL-LEVEL BIBLIOMETRIC IMPACT METRICS for each match: the Source ID (S...), display name, ISSN-L and ISSNs, host organization (publisher), works_count, cited_by_count, open-access status (is_oa), and summary_stats containing h_index, i10_index, and 2yr_mean_citedness (an impact-factor-like 2-year mean citedness). Use this to look up the impact/standing of a journal by name (e.g. 'nature', 'lancet') or to resolve an ISSN to its OpenAlex Source ID, then optionally fetch the full record with openalex_get_source. Results are returned newest/most-relevant first; pass relevance_score sorting via OpenAlex defaults.
