Dashboards

A dashboard turns a session into a live, interactive analytics view — a grid of KPI, chart, and table panels you can rearrange, filter, and share.

What's on a dashboard

Cortexa designs the first layout itself — a responsive grid that reads like an analyst built it.
KPI tiles
The 3–4 numbers that anchor the story.
Chart panels
Bar, line, area, scatter — each with provenance and linked source footnotes when literature-backed.
Data table
The underlying rows beneath the charts.
Context panel
Framing, caveats, and how to read it.

Edit & arrange

A dashboard isn't fixed — reshape the layout until it tells the story your way.
Rearrange & resize
Reorder panels and widen the ones that matter into a hero row.
Edit via Refine
“Add a cohort breakdown,” “drop the pie,” “make enrollment full-width.”
Versioned
Every edit is a new version — iterating never loses the previous layout.

Interactive filters

A dashboard is live, not a screenshot — slice it in the browser, no account needed.
Viewer-side slicing
One selection (cohort, region, arm…) updates every bound panel at once.
Agent-declared
Cortexa wires filters to matching panels. Want another? Ask in Refine.

Deferred panels are a feature

A panel marked Data neededis Cortexa refusing to fabricate a chart. It states what the sources don’t cover, in language safe to share — what you should do about it comes back in chat. Add the data or run the analysis, then Refine and it redraws from real numbers.

Live data from a connection

If the session used one of your private connections, the dashboard binds to it — panels keep the read-only query that fills them, so you can re-read the source instead of regenerating.
Bound to one connection
Cortexa binds the dashboard to a connection you already have access to. The header names it.
Refresh data
Re-runs each panel's query and redraws the charts. Nothing is saved — the version stores the query, never a copy of your rows.
Checked per viewer
Refresh re-checks your own access to the connection every time, through the same read-only path the agent uses.

Sharing a dashboard never shares the connection

A recipient sees the panels as they were generated. Refreshing requires their own access to the underlying connection — opening a shared dashboard grants none.

Share

Each dashboard has its own URL and shareable token — recipients get the live, filterable view without an account.
